Twelve (12) primary tourism establishments (Hotels and Resorts) and six (6) secondary tourism establishments (Restaurants) has been accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT) during accreditation process.

Through the efforts of the DOT in partnership with the City Government of Sorsogon headed by the City Mayor, Honorable Ma. Ester E. Hamor, business establishments were encouraged to undergo the accreditation process for the development and promotion of the tourism industry, to maintain international standards of excellence in all tourism facilities and services, and promote the country as a safe & wholesome tourist destination.

The tourism establishments will be issued with a certificate as a proof that they have complied with the standards set by the DOT.

This is in line with the City Mayor’s Ten Point Agenda - Gayon Sorsogon (Environmental and Tourism Program)
