The City Government of Sorsogon is extending help thru medical and dental services, burial assistance, aid to senior citizens, indigents and persons with disabilities (PWD’s), and financial assistance to individuals with immediate medical needs, individuals in emergency situation and individuals under maintenance medications and routine therapies such as chemotherapy and dialysis.

This activity is being conducted every Wednesday at City Hall lobby with personnel from the Office of the City Mayor and City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) at the frontline. People from various barangays gather up at the designated area to patiently wait for their turn to avail of the assistance. They were being served snacks such as “arroz caldo” or “goto” while at the queue.

The endeavour is part of the 10-Point Agenda of the present administration of the City Government of Sorsogon.

Certificate of Indigency, medicine prescription or medical abstract, and death certificates for burial assistance are among the documents required to avail the program.
